Study Permit and PGWP Information

The Accelerated Human Resource Management Diploma is delivered online and can be completed in less than six months. Because of the program’s length, some international students and foreign nationals may be able to complete the program without a study permit, depending on their status in Canada.

  • Short-term study: IRCC states that foreign nationals generally do not need a study permit for a program that lasts six months or less. Students must still meet all applicable immigration and entry requirements.
    https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/eligibility/study-without-permit.html

  • Eligible work permit holders: Under a temporary IRCC public policy, eligible foreign nationals who hold a valid work permit may study in a program of six months or less without a separate study permit. This authorization applies only while the work permit remains valid and is subject to IRCC requirements.
    https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/special-instructions/workers-study-without-study-permit.html

  • Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP): This program is NOT eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit. IRCC requires a PGWP-eligible program to be at least eight months in length, along with meeting other eligibility requirements.
    https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/work/after-graduation/eligibility.html

  • Internship: The optional internship available to domestic students is not available to international students and is not required for program completion or graduation.

Immigration requirements and temporary public policies can change. Students are responsible for confirming their eligibility and current IRCC requirements before registering.
