Supply Chain Management Diploma

Lead the way in this brand-new, industry-aligned program. Graduates get the hands-on skills and knowledge needed to manage, organize, and run supply chain functions. From logistics to procurement, knowledge management to global sourcing, students cover all aspects of the supply chain management field, being challenged to apply theory to the practical workplace.

Delivered by industry experts and supported by the Supply Chain Management Association - Manitoba (SCMA-MB), this program offers students an educational experience that is rooted in real-world practice and current industry needs.

Tuition & Fees

$11,500: Tuition cost includes the $100.00 UWSA Fee. Costs are subject to change.*

$2,000-$2,500: Textbook costs may vary depending on new, rental, used, or electronic purchasing choices. Textbooks are a requirement.

*Please note there is a fee increase scheduled for Supply Chain Management. As of September 2021 tuition fee for this program will be $12,200.

Objectives & Outcomes

The Supply Chain Management Diploma program prepares graduates to work as at the management level in the supply chain field, providing a comprehensive foundation in the theory and practices of supply chain management based on the best practices and industry standards in Canada.

Outcomes:

  • Be able to define and use supply chain management terms and theories in real world scenarios
  • Be able to analyze, design, and make recommendations on supply chain management operations
  • Be able to problem solve for issues in supply chain management
  • Be able to effectively supervise, manage, and organize teams for productive work

Admission Requirements

  • Be a high school graduate or hold a Mature Status Diploma.
    • MUST provide High School Transcript or recognized equivalent GED or Mature Grade 12 Diploma.

OR

  • Be 18 years of age or older and have completed 90 hours of coursework or more at a recognized post-secondary institution (including UWPACE) with minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
    • MUST provide an official transcript for all previous post-secondary study (including university, CEGEP, or private college).

Work Experience

Supply Chain Management Diploma applicants who do not possess a degree must have a minimum of three years of work experience.

Applicants that do possess a degree must have one year of work experience.

Others will be evaluated at the discretion of the admissions team. The University may request a Letter of Intent and Reference Letters.

English Language Requirements

Applicants whose previous education was completed outside of Canada and where English may or may not have been the medium of instruction, must submit proof of meeting one of the accepted English language proficiency measures. Accreditation

Upon completion of this program students will earn two valuable educational credentials: Supply Chain Management Diploma and Management Certificate.

Management Certificate Certified by Chartered Managers Canada (CIM)

Students graduating from the Management Certificate may apply for the Certified in Management designation (CIM).

This program meets the standard entry into the Supply Chain Management Association of Manitoba’s Designation Program.

The full-time program is a laptop based program.

  • 15 inches LCDDisplay TFT active Matrix Colour can handle 1920 x 1080 Resolution (2GB ram) (Optional)

MAC’s hardware:

  • Intel Core I5 or I7
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Graphics and Video display: Any type of video cards from Apple should work with at least of 2GB of RAM.
  • HardDrive: 512GB
  • Software to run Virtualization for Microsoft windows:
  • Parallels Desktop or VMware Fusion, or VirtualBox

All full-time Professional Studies Programs include an internship opportunity. The internship will help you develop a working portfolio and gain tangible work experience.
