“My experience at PACE was remarkable, equipping me with international knowledge and expertise necessary for success," shares Grace Neko, a graduate of the Human Resource Management program at PACE. Originally from Kenya, Grace started her journey as in 2021 and has since risen to the role of Human Resource Generalist at Celero Solutions.

Grace's path through PACE was instrumental in shaping her career in Canada. She explains, "PACE helped me apply the knowledge and technical expertise from HR to my current job, which I secured following an internship facilitated by the program." This hands-on experience provided her with the practical skills needed to excel in the Canadian workforce, particularly in a company that serves as an IT provider to credit unions across the country.

Now, as a Human Resource Generalist, Grace supports the business through HR advisory and guidance across Canada, collaborating with managers and business leaders. Her role involves aligning HR initiatives and the employee experience with the strategic goals of the business, ensuring both performance enhancement and compliance with best practices.

However, it was what I needed at the time to launch my career into what it is today," she reflects. "I was able to take a lot of the experience that I had from work experience but also hone some of those skills that I knew I needed to home in order to be competitive," Rebecca explains.
